What should I look for in the findings?

Separate the observed condition from the explanation and the recommendation.

Observation

Where was the condition recorded? What did the inspector actually see? Ask for a location and a plain-language description.

Limitation

Which areas or layers could not be examined? Ask whether the conclusion depends on information that is still missing.

Recommendation

What further investigation or work is suggested, and why? Ask how the recommendation relates to the observations.
